Care recommendations for your knives.
- Proper cleaning: Wash the knife individually with warm water and mild detergent. Whenever possible, clean only the blade and avoid immersing the handle. Dry thoroughly before storing.
- Safe storage: Use the sheath for safe transport, but avoid storing the knife in it for long periods, as moisture could stain the steel.
- Cutting surfaces: Always cut on soft surfaces such as wooden or plastic fiber boards. Avoid hard surfaces that may damage the cutting edge.
- Avoid metal contact: Do not allow the blade to touch other metal utensils to maintain its integrity.
- Sharpening the edge: Use a smooth or fluted sharpening steel to align the edge regularly. This will prolong its life.
- Careful sharpening: Never sharpen the knife with high-speed machines, as they can irreversibly damage the heat treatment of the edge.
- Quality sharpeners: Avoid cheap sharpeners from bazaars or supermarkets, as they are not designed for high-strength steels and can ruin the edge.
- Recommended Methods: Use traditional sharpening stones or controlled angle systems, such as Lansky, for precise and safe sharpening.
